comparison

In the middle of a recent spring photo walk with my daughters, I finished a roll of Kodak Ektar film.  The only other roll of film at the bottom of my bag was Ilford black and white, so I decided to take some of the same shots for comparison.  As I mentioned previously, this is my first roll of black and white film, and I was pleasantly surprised by the results!  I also love the pop in color from the Kodak Ektar film – I think the colors are gorgeous.

I don’t have a comparison photo in black and white, but I have share this last shot because it is just so darn pretty!

Film. Color – Kodak Ektar 100. Black and white – Ilford Delta 400.

wow, the last shot just killed me! so beautiful!
for flower / garden shots, I think i personally prefer colour over b/w – the colous are simply to amazing to hide :)

very interesting to see compared the pictures. i love the colorfuls more. i tend generally to prefer color to bw, except for some (well, quite many) portraits. i love the magnolias shots, then both colorful and bw are so so pretty. and the last one just takes my breath away, wonderful blossoms and gorgeous elegan white building in the background.ReplyCancel
