creativity boot camp – a giveaway {comments closed}

Film. Kodak Ektar 100

I mentioned in an earlier post that I was honored to be a special guest of Maegan’s Creativity Boot Camp this year!  Meagan has designed an artistic course, one that concentrates not only on photography, but “the work of your soul“.

The course is two weeks, beginning May 15.  It will be filled with activities devoted to creativity, ideas for journaling, and thoughts + inspiration by other artists (myself included).

You can find all the information you need here.  What’s more? Meagan is donating half of all money collected from the course to Show Hope, an organization devoted to orphan care.

I am happy to give away a spot in the course to one of my readers.  I would love for you to experience this creative journey!  Please leave a comment and let me know how Creativity Boot Camp would inspire you.  A winner would be chosen randomly.  Entries will be accepted until Friday, May 6 at noon EST.  Good luck!

Update: Congratulations to Christina of Soul Aperture who won the spot in the course!

Thanks so all who entered!

I would love to have a spot on this course! The last few months for me have been all about helping others and inspiring others, either through my own teaching or nuturing my childrens’ ambitions. I really need some ‘me’ time and a chance to reconnect with my own inner creativity!ReplyCancel

I participated in Meagan’s first CBC and it was fabulous and incredibly inspiring. I would love to participate in this second camp, especially with the different format and wonderful contributors.ReplyCancel

I soo need this because I have my moments when I’m lacking inspiration (not only in the realm of photography), and it makes me feel horrible. Something like this would come in so handy :)

    Thanks for doing this.ReplyCancel

I would love to be a part of this! I went to portfolio school in college, but don’t work in a job that is as creative. Also, I’ve pick up a camera and been really into trying to become a better photographer. I’d love the opportunity to push that.ReplyCancel

I’ve been in “corporate america” for close to a decade. With each year that passes, I feel more of my childlike creativity slipping through my fingers. After my son’s birth I went through a period of fog (sleep deprivation? Postpartum? Not sure…). When it lifted, the world seemed new again and I’ve begun blogging and exploring my more creative side. I can’t justify spending the money on a course for myself, which I think is is sign that I need this bootcamp… *fingers-crossed*ReplyCancel

I went to school for humanities, photography and art are my passions. But, I’m stuck at a boring 9 – 5 office job. I could use some inspiration and creativity in my life :) I would love this opportunity. I feel it would allow me to grow as a photographer and hopefully help push my photography to a new level, so a 9 – 5 job is not longer required. 😉ReplyCancel

I’ve been in a bit of funk lately. We’re making a cross country move right before this boot camp starts, and I’d love to participate to get my creative juices flowing again. I hope I win!ReplyCancel

I have been thinking about creativity a lot lately. Mostly because I feel my creativity has waned and I need a little “kick-start.” Maybe this class would help me be “me” and refocus my creativity!ReplyCancel

Just being exposed to so many inspiring and creative women would be uplifting. I would love to have a chance to take this course! Creativity is something that I need in my every day life, and this seems like such a great way to boost that!ReplyCancel

I would love to allow my college age daughter to do the boot camp to see her learn and grow in an area of her life that doesn’t get nurtured. She has been trying to journal more and she feels like she needs to be encouraged to stretch her imagination and learn to be more creative.ReplyCancel

i have read every name (at least twice) who is going to be teaching there. the idea of such amazing talent… it would SO inspire me to take “it” in a different direction, shake things up a bit behind my lens. i just know it would ; )

Creativity Boot Camp sounds wonderful. It may be just what I need to get out of my current slump. So many wonderful, inspiring people to learn from, too!ReplyCancel

Hmm. What to say? This sounds like the perfect creative soul-searching opportunity most of us need. I understand slumps and lulls and even the “blahs”, and frequently experience them myself. Almost seven months ago, one of my closest friends committed suicide. He was my photography pal, and so very talented with a camera. Photos were “our” thing and while I kept up with my own creative inclinations for a few months after the event, with the emergence of spring, it just seems to have tapered off. Life goes on for the rest of us, obviously and this should be the most inspiring time of year for me…new life, and all. But for the moment, I just feel a little lost when it comes to creativity. Maybe a nudge and a commitment to a curriculum that pushes me to look deeper is just what I need.ReplyCancel

Creativity Boot Camp would inspire me to step outside of my comfort zone and provide daily encouragment for me to just get out there & do it. So often I find myself wanting to perfect every detail that I never get anything accomplished.ReplyCancel

It’s hard getting out of a creative rut and this would be the perfect thing. It would also be a lovely birthday present (mine’s on the 16th). I really could use the inspiration, especially as I’m planning to start a portrait business. Thanks for hosting this.ReplyCancel

I need the push of a class to keep me on edge. I get complacent and my art lacks oomph without constant learning and stimulation. I would love to win this!ReplyCancel
