We spent the end of the week in San Francisco.  So much walking during the day to take in all the sites!

Four Barrel Coffee was a welcome break.  My mocha was perfect – and the entire space was like a coffe lover’s dream.

It was also in San Francisco that I happened upon a great deal on a Hasselblad 500 c/m medium format camera.  A peak at my first photograph.  I have always wanted to try medium format photography – I’ve been going back and forth on whether to upgrade my digital (it’s just been put on hold for a while!).

I can only imagine how beautiful Napa Valley is during the Summer, when the vines are heavy with berries, and also the Fall, when the leaves on the vines begin to change color.

Napa in the winter still holds a quiet beauty – one that speaks volumes of what will surely come…..

And we couldn’t very well go to Napa Valley and not enjoy the wine, right?  *smile*

After a short drive to Napa Valley, the Vintage Inn was our home for a few days.

It did not disappoint.

I was a bit spoiled by the Champagne breakfast every morning, and tea time at 3pm every afternoon.

Just looking at these images makes me miss these quiet moments…..

It feels good to back!

I’ve just spent an amazing week in California.  Lots of photos to share.

I’ll begin with our first stop at Scoma’s in Sausalito for brunch – an excellent little seafood restaurant right on the water.  Sausalito is a such a beautiful community right across the bay from San Francisco. And as you can see, it has such a lovely view of the city.

A few more captures from my girls weekend in Puerto Rico.  Love this place.

Each year, I get together with my girlfriends from college.  Usually, we gather in someone’s home and stay up really late, laugh really loud, and way eat too much food.  This year we decided to be adventurous – we booked tickets to San Juan, Puerto Rico.  Yes, in the middle of winter.  And yes, totally worth it.

So much planning for a quick trip.  But oh my, we had so much fun.  And it was just what this mama needed – a few days away to renew my spirit.  Should I mention that I packed more cameras than clothes?

And how I love these girls who have been through so many stages of life with me….
