Film. Kodak Portra 400

We enjoyed having family in town recently – taking them to our favorite breakfast and lunch spots.  Good food and good times.  I loved how in the midst of all of our food, the sippy cup stood out to me the most!

Also, on a slightly technical note, this was my first time using the new Kodak Portra, and I love the grain.  I definitely see the difference between the Portra 400 nc (more “creaminess”) – but the new Portra definitely has a style and feel of its own.  I think that it will grow on me.

More soon.

I tried the new portra a few weeks ago too and know exactly what you mean by the comparative creaminess of the nc. I feel like the new stuff is a little harder? Harder edges, if that makes sense? Or maybe how I’m shooting it makes it seem more contrasty? Anyway, those crepes look divine. I’ve been reading your blog for a while and I love it. You have such a great eye!ReplyCancel

I have been dying to try out the new portra. It looks lovely here — and is supposed to be so versatile in its speed.ReplyCancel

    Gorgeous!
I haven’t tried the new Portra yet. I love the creaminess of NC that you mentioned, but these shots are just as beautiful.ReplyCancel
