I am a photographer and mother of three beautiful little girls.
After the birth of my oldest daughter, my world shifted, my priorities changed, and I grabbed my camera to document it all. I loved the fact that my DSLR allowed me to slow down and actually see the world. But somewhere along the way, I started taking the instant gratification for granted, shooting way more than I needed. Digitally, I felt that my images had to be polished, precisely focused, in a word – perfect. At my core, I wanted to photograph the everyday, imperfect, simple moments of my life – which led me to film. Ironically, film has allowed me to fall in love with photography once again.
You will find bits and pieces of my life documented here, along with projects I am working on and things that inspire me. There are a few common themes in my life – I love morning light, coffee, fresh flowers on my kitchen table, and warm summer nights. Most importantly, I love being a mama to my girls. You can often find me with a camera (or two) looking for the perfect natural light with a baby on my hip and two little girls by my side.
