My 2 most favorite alone times are early a.m., and late nite on weekends after the city sleeps. I cherish my quiet! :-) PS: Another beautiful tea set!ReplyCancel

Ah that’s lovely. We can share our teas together virtually via our photos until the day we can do it in person. xReplyCancel

Fuji Superia 400

I hope that you had a wonderful first day of Spring!

This weekend, a friend had her very first gallery opening – good times, indeed.

There is nothing quite like being surrounded by art, good food, and conversation for an entire evening.

  • Elisabelle - March 21, 2011 - 5:19 am

    it does look wonderful!ReplyCancel

  • Lucent Imagery - March 21, 2011 - 10:15 pm

Looks like you had a lovely weekend! I too have discovered the beauty that resides in photographing wines – those reds are beautiful, as is the photo you’ve taken of one. And tea together… well, yes we will make that happen one day my friend. xReplyCancel

Fuji Superia 400 film

I found a cute little french bakery near my home.  I’m worried that stopping in for “a little something sweet” (in my case, macarons)  may become habit forming.   I don’t think that there is any turning back after these little splurges~

Have a wonderful weekend my friends!

  • Karin van D. - March 18, 2011 - 4:54 am

We can all use a little something sweet now and then. Enjoy it :-)ReplyCancel

  • Elisabelle - March 18, 2011 - 6:34 am

  • Lucent Imagery - March 18, 2011 - 4:13 pm

Always love your photos. I’ve only had one macaroon and it was in San Fran. Am looking forward to trying them again in Paris. I agree that if they are sold too close to home, it could become a habit very easily! Have a lovely weekend. xReplyCancel

  • Sharon - March 18, 2011 - 6:55 pm

Oh, yum! I never stop in bakeries though I dream of it often. LOL! Enjoy your treats with a cup of coffee for me : )ReplyCancel

Kodak Ektar 100 film

Ranunculus are quite possibly my favorite flower.  Even on rainy, grey filled days (hence the blue tint) – they still spark a sense of beauty and nostalgia….

  • Elisabelle - March 16, 2011 - 5:28 am

oh you are using kodak ektar 100. i want to try it but i was waiting for summer, afraid there would not be enough light.
btw, i love so much ranunculus too!ReplyCancel

  • lorena - March 16, 2011 - 6:40 am

    Beautiful captures.

Your images are gorgeous! Poppies are my favourite flower. I love watching them open up, revealing their tissue paper petals, all wrinkly. Just lovely. xReplyCancel

Kodak Portra NC 400 film

Orchids from this day at the garden.  The clarity of this film amazes me! I’m going to start labeling the film I use for my film photographs so that I can remember, but also in case you are in interested.

Is it obvious that I am ready for warmer weather?

  • Lucent Imagery - March 15, 2011 - 3:43 pm

    Just a little. 😉
Is that Jasmine I see? One of my all time favourites to smell on morning walks and in my green tea.ReplyCancel

About those spring portraits…..

The natural light was perfect.  Her dress was ready.

But she had other plans – I couldn’t get her to keep her dress down, or stay still!  I guess I’ll have to try again when it’s actually Spring.

  • Felicia - March 14, 2011 - 7:16 am

    haha, what a cute post.

when i was in elementary school, my mom would always bemoan the fact that no matter what she did in preparation for photo day, i would always end up with disheveled hair.ReplyCancel

  • Miss Giny / APDM - March 14, 2011 - 7:27 am

    Gorgeous ! I love the light ! ♥ReplyCancel

  • Shokoofeh - March 14, 2011 - 7:36 am

Bits and pieces of my days recently.  I’m a little addicted to steel cut oats ~

I want to thank you for your kind visits and comments (I truly appreciate each and every one).  It makes coming to this space and sharing my work truly worth it!

I have a few links for you today that I have enjoyed recently ~

+ Blown away by this photo by Whitnee.

+ An interesting read regarding copyright infringement.  The woman in the photo is striking, and this is a constant reminder about the risks of sharing work on flickr and online……

+ Astrid shares her favorite film.

+ Katarina’s hats and polaroids post – gorgeous!

+ Irene and Xanthe’s new blog, London vs. Paris.

Have a wonderful day!

  • Sam - March 10, 2011 - 11:44 am

These are quite fantastic. I’m loving steel cut oats myself these days!ReplyCancel

  • mary - March 10, 2011 - 1:41 pm

EXCELLENT read re: copyright infringement. I am stunned (stunned!) that that the photographer isn’t able to make any headway with regards to resolving the issue of the (mis)use of his photo. (And what a stunning photo it is! Don’t you sort of hope a romance comes out of this?!)ReplyCancel

  • Kristin - March 10, 2011 - 4:05 pm

this are wonderful photos of the everyday life.ReplyCancel

  • margie - March 11, 2011 - 7:56 am

love the links. i have a polaroid camera sitting in my cupboard, with one package of film and no nerve.ReplyCancel

    • A. Jarrett - March 11, 2011 - 8:14 am

Margie – you *have* to put that polaroid to work!ReplyCancel

  • natalyn - March 11, 2011 - 7:38 pm

What gorgeous remnants! I so love seeing your pictures. They are so quiet and pensive. It’s almost like you can read their minds if you are still enough (if pictures had minds, anyway). I don’t know if that makes sense or not, but that’s the sense that I get when I see your images.

And thanks for the reminder that I need to order some more film for my Polly. I keep forgetting! Gaahhh.ReplyCancel

  • Karen - March 12, 2011 - 9:33 am

    Thanks for sharing…lovely moments.ReplyCancel

  • Maegan - March 12, 2011 - 1:35 pm

I love these images, Azzari! And thank you, also, for the links. I was blown away as well by Whitnee’s photo! And the story of copyright infringement is heartbreaking and so frustrating. It just proves that none of us are immune…it’s prevalent and needs to be stopped! But I will say that’s why I don’t hang out on Flickr very much anymore!ReplyCancel

As promised, I wanted to share with you my film images of our tea date last weekend.  It was cold and rainy outside, and I feel these captures reflect the warmth and coziness we shared inside.   In a way, film does that for me – captures the moment exactly how I remember it.

And let me assure you, there is nothing cuter than watching little girls enjoy their tea!

  • Elisabelle - March 9, 2011 - 4:43 am

    these are beautiful.
and i so agree: film captures the mood.ReplyCancel

A sure sign that Spring is on it’s way is the sweet morning light streaming through the windows in the mornings.

And if I could bottle the scent of this freesia for you, I would label it “heaven“.

Here’s to the start of a wonderful week, my friends.
