Things are looking up this week! We enjoyed Sunday brunch as a family and both girls are feeling better. I might be able to actually get some sleep! All images taken with my Pentax – the only camera I carried with me this weekend ~ oh, how I love that.
Giving thanks this week, even though things didn’t go as planned. My girls are sick, and I have spent my days and nights comforting, rocking, and wiping away tears. Looking forward to working on a few things this weekend, with my camera in hand! I do have a few links for you that I have enjoyed recently ~ + New post on One Inspiration, Two Perspectives (warning: this diptych might make you hungry!) + Irina Werning’s ongoing project, Back to the Future. + A beautiful birth story. + This image by Whitnee. Have a good weekend, friends.
I am definitely ready for spring. This winter has been long and cold. I’ve settled on wearing my florals – layered of course, to keep me warm!
Every morning, I try to slip out of bed a bit earlier than everyone else. It’s the only time of the day that I truly have to myself. I enjoy the quiet, and I love to immerse myself in my own thoughts for the day….
I have to admit that I am picking up my film camera more than my digital these days. And I’m truly loving it….. I’ve included the last photo to show you how many of my photos are taken. With my baby in my lap or on my hip. And I wouldn’t have it any other way! I just want to thank you for your visits this week. I truly appreciate your comments and emails ~ Have a wonderful weekend.
My quiet corner, my window. Finding creative uses for those baby food jars. Please spring, come soon. Thanks ~
I spent quality time with my girl. Out for lunch – just us. I can’t believe I’m holding a conversation with someone who, just a few years ago, I literally held in my arms. She is a great kid – strong willed, opinionated, and full of smiles. And she loves “cheese soup”. Definitely one of my favorite lunch dates.
A couple of weeks ago, I stumbled upon this original gouache and watercolor painting of a Pentax K1000 on etsy, and I immediately fell in love. I had recently received my own Pentax film camera, and I knew that I would love to have this small painting on display in my (future) studio. Right now, my quiet corner will have to do! Tim & Tara, a husband and wife team, have a gorgeous etsy shop filled with Tim’s paintings and Tara’s photography. I loved how the art was packaged so beautifully, the attention to detail so evident. Most of all, I love the painting itself.
And an even bigger bonus – Tara included one of her original polaroids of summer berries. And oh, how I love polaroids…… It was, quite simply, the perfect package.

You make the most beautiful photographs. You know?
Thank you, dear Relyn.
So beautiful. Now I want to be in Italy.
