We packed up the girls and headed to beautiful Fajardo, Puerto Rico this year for spring break.  We needed this break as a family.

I booked this trip over a month ago, and it was worth every bit of preparation.  Believe me, traveling this far with two little ones is quite a feat.  The weather was beautiful – clear blue skies and temps in the 80’s.  A welcome break from the springtime pollen in Atlanta.

These are my little souvenirs from the trip.

  • Ash - April 16, 2013 - 2:01 pm

I love my home, Puerto Rico! So glad you were able to get away for a bitReplyCancel

This drawer in my workspace is filled with all of my polaroids, taken with various cameras.  Once I scan them, they end up here.  Which isn’t so bad – it is quite a sight to pull open that drawer and see so much goodness!  But I’ve decided that this has to change, so I have begun a “polaroid wall” – filled with favorites.

I’m using these as adhesives, and they are really working out so far.  I’m not quite finished, but I’m loving the results.  And this wall is definitely proving to be quite the conversation starter.  Looking forward to adding more ~

  • Vickie - April 10, 2013 - 8:47 am

wow, what a lot of polaroids! Love the look of them on the wall, what a fun way to enjoy them :)ReplyCancel

I’ve been replacing my morning coffee (temporarily) with warm, lemon water.

Really easy – warming water in the kettle, and squeezing half a lemon into my cup.

Definitely nice to have something warm first thing in the morning~

Thanks so much for your kind words from my previous post~

I’m still loving this black and white film.

  • Vickie - March 28, 2013 - 7:19 am

Our family is growing.

We are expecting our third baby this summer.  This is one of the main reasons I have been absent.

The first trimester of this pregnancy has been, by far, my most challenging.  Now that I am well into my second trimester, I am feeling pretty good (tired, always – but good).  My heart has already grown to love three.

I am looking forward to holding this sweet baby in my arms.

It’s almost Spring – and I don’t think I’ve ever taken a break for this long!  And it was needed, my friends.  Sometimes it feels to good to take a step back, disconnect from the internet and really be present in the lives of those who mean the most to me.

I’ll ease back in slowly, please bear with me – as I have much to share.  And going forward, you’ll probably see more images, less words.

Also, Birgitte Brøndsted a fellow photographer in Florence, Italy –  is hosting a giveaway for a copy of On the Table, on her blog.  Head over and leave a comment for a chance to win!

  • Patricia - March 12, 2013 - 10:49 am

Happy you are posting again. I can understand your need for a break, but I missed your beautiful photos. Will look forward to your new images as you “ease back”.ReplyCancel

  • Anne - March 12, 2013 - 11:55 am
